I Was Misled by Tracelo’s 50p Offer and Charged £39.95 for Nothing
I used Tracelo thinking it would cost just 50p to help me locate my lost phone. That’s how it was presented—like a one-time, low-cost service for finding a phone. But I never found my phone, and to make matters worse, I was charged £39.95 without my clear consent.
Why would anyone need to find their phone more than once? It’s not a subscription-type service. Tracelo made the charge seem like a small one-off fee, then quietly billed me a much higher amount. That’s misleading and unfair. I gave my card details under false pretenses and received absolutely nothing in return.
This wasn’t transparent at all. I feel deceived and disappointed. I want my money refunded immediately—£39.95 for a service that never delivered is unacceptable. I will not pay for something I never received.
