I Paid for Tineco Floor One S3 and It Failed After 20 Uses

In November 2022, I purchased the Tineco Floor One S3, expecting durability and long-term quality. Over the course of two years, we used it no more than 20 times, always following the maintenance instructions and storing it carefully. One day, I turned it on, and it released water and shut down after 3 seconds with a “Service Required” message.
When I checked, I found out the warranty had expired just that week, and the unit hadn’t even been used for two months. There was absolutely no misuse. I attempted to contact Tineco directly, but it’s impossible to reach them in Turkey. Instead, I had to go through Tazaar, the distributor, who forwarded us to BDH, the technical service.
We followed their exact packaging instructions and sent the machine in. Then they hit us with a ₺2850 repair fee—without any explanation of what the issue even was! When I asked, the only answer was “That’s the repair fee.” What was broken? Why did it fail after so little use? No real answers.
Since my spouse is an electrician, we opened the unit ourselves. The motor was oxidized due to its position—right above the dirty water compartment. The design has no protection against water exposure. This is clearly a manufacturing defect, not user error.
We declined the repair, and the device came back poorly packaged, with torn bubble wrap and new scratches on the water tanks. That alone shows how little they value customer property.
This machine was over ₺7500, the price of a monthly salary—and now it’s junk. I will never trust Tineco, Tazaar, or BDH again. If you’re reading this, stay away from Tineco Floor One S3. The device deteriorates from its own poor design, and the service is as careless as it gets.
