I recently bought a new Redmi 15C phone in Cameroon and installed Telegram, but I am unable to complete the verification process because I am being asked to pay 950 XAF using a bank card. In my country the SMS cost is high, and this payment step appears to be mandatory before I can get the verification code and use my account. The problem is that I do not have any bank card and I normally use MTN Mobile Money for my payments. Because of this, I am completely blocked from accessing Telegram on my new phone even though I am willing to pay, just not by card. I am requesting that Telegram provide a payment option that works in Cameroon without a bank card, such as MTN Mobile Money or another local mobile money solution, so that users like me can pay the fee and receive the verification code. I would like to be able to verify my number and use Telegram again without being forced to use a card that I do not have.
