Telegram Scammer Tried to Trick Me Into Sending Money

I am using Telegram on my Samsung S24 Ultra (Android), and I want to report a scammer I encountered on the platform. On June 30, 2026, I was contacted by a user who pretended to be a 26‑year‑old man living in Oregon. Through this deception, he almost managed to get 150 USD from me by trying to persuade me to send money via a payment app. Although I realized in time that this was a scam and did not complete the payment, I was very uncomfortable with the fact that someone can so easily attempt fraud and target users in this way on Telegram. I have not yet reported this situation anywhere else and I am reaching out first through this complaint so the matter can be taken seriously. I request that the relevant Telegram account be urgently blocked and that the necessary checks be carried out to prevent this person from continuing to scam other users on your platform. I also expect a clear response about what measures are taken in such cases so that users like me can feel safer while using Telegram.
