On August 14, 2024, I was on Sunexpress flight XQ0715 from Munich to Ankara. First, we were boarded late, and then we were kept waiting on the plane, resulting in a total delay of 2 hours and 45 minutes before takeoff. When we finally arrived in Ankara, we were shocked to find that none of the checked luggage had been loaded onto the plane. Only the strollers handed over at the gate were brought. We were told that the reason for this was a lack of personnel, leaving the bags of nearly 200 passengers behind in Munich.
At Ankara Esenboğa Airport, we were all asked to fill out a lost luggage form, but there were no Sunexpress representatives available to assist us. The chaos and constant arguments made it impossible to get clear information, and it took 2 hours just to complete and submit the forms. The contact numbers provided have been useless as no one answers, and we still have no updates.
What’s worse, a passenger seated by the window saw that the luggage wasn’t being loaded before we even took off and informed the flight attendant. The attendant assured us that there was no problem and that they hadn’t been informed of any issues. Despite knowing our bags were left behind, they lied to us and continued with the flight. We’re now stranded during our short visit to Turkey with no idea if our luggage will arrive before we leave. This is completely unacceptable, and the lack of communication from Sunexpress only adds to the frustration.
