I'm Demanding a $1,098 Refund After Stayforlong's Fake Reservation Confirmation
On July 1, 2026, after being redirected through the Trivago app, I made a hotel reservation through the Stayforlong website for the Concorde De Luxe Hotel in the Lara area of Antalya, for the dates July 5-7, 2026. I made a total payment of $1,098 with my Garanti Bonus credit card, and the transaction still currently appears as a pending authorization. My Stayforlong receipt number for this transaction is hbl-361, and my security number is SFL-8b8684FE0b.
I received emails from Stayforlong confirming that the reservation was approved, but when I arrived at the hotel, I learned that neither my name nor my reservation appeared in their system at all. In other words, a reservation shown to me as "confirmed" through Stayforlong doesn't actually exist as far as the hotel is concerned. This has both created serious distrust and clearly put me in a difficult position.
Trivago acting as an intermediary for such a site and directing users to it bears at least as much responsibility as Stayforlong. Since people are already searching for the best option due to economic conditions, it's unacceptable for platforms like this to put users at risk this way. Even though I received emails signed by "z…" and "b…" on behalf of Stayforlong's customer representative team, I want to note that these names and correspondence also appear extremely untrustworthy and give the impression of being fake.
For all these reasons, I am requesting that the pending authorization on my card be immediately canceled through Garanti Bank, and that the $1,098 payment be refunded to me. I want the hardship I've experienced to be resolved, and for the necessary investigations to be conducted regarding Trivago and Stayforlong to prevent similar situations from happening to other users. I also want to specifically state that I intend to exercise my legal rights to the fullest extent.
