Starbucks Staff Treated Me Disrespectfully at Mall Location
I am filing a complaint about an experience I had on June 25, 2025, at around 3:12 p.m. at the Starbucks location on the ground floor of Mall of Istanbul. When I asked the cashier, Ms. Z*****, to provide an iced paper cup with my drink—as has always been done during my previous visits—she refused my request. Instead, she put the ice into a much smaller, transparent plastic cup that was flimsy, difficult to carry, and easy to spill. She claimed this was company policy. However, I have ordered from the other two Starbucks locations in the same shopping mall many times and have never encountered this practice.
Both the poor-quality cup and the employee's attitude toward me fell far below the level of customer service I expect from a company like Starbucks. I felt that I was treated disrespectfully. Since the other Starbucks locations in the same mall do not follow this practice, it appeared to be an arbitrary decision that ignored customer satisfaction.
I request that Starbucks investigate this employee's conduct and take the necessary steps to prevent this type of inconsistent and disrespectful treatment from happening to other customers in the future.
