Sony Is Holding My PSN Account Hostage, Can't Take It Back
The last time I logged in to my PSN account was in 2013, but I can't remember it. The security question I set up ten years ago doesn't match, so I can't change my password. I used my registered email address along with my first and last name to email Sony customer service from my personal email. When they asked me different questions, I tried my best to answer, even though I haven't used my PS account in three to four years. I also said I could send a copy of my ID if that was needed. I opened this account in my own name, and I don't owe any money on it. If they needed more proof, like letters or proof of where I live, I offered to give it to them. They told me today, though, that my information doesn't match and that they can't help. They are making it impossible for me to play games that I paid for with my own money. While I was waiting for them to ask me more questions to make sure I was who I said I was, they avoided the issue. I can't get into my account, so I can't use my new PS5. I might sell my PS5 and stop working with Sony if things keep going this way.
