Received Snapchat Verification Code Without Having an Account
On February 11, 2026, at around 8:58 PM, I received an SMS on my phone containing a Snapchat verification code, even though I do not have a Snapchat account. I have never created a Snapchat account with my phone number. Receiving such a message has caused me serious concern.
If a Snapchat account has been created or attempted to be created using my phone number, I request that the account be immediately blocked and that legal action be initiated if necessary. I ask that it be urgently and thoroughly checked whether there is any active account associated with my number, and if so, that it be closed immediately.
I have not yet contacted Snapchat directly regarding this issue. I request confirmation that my phone number is secure and has not been misused by third parties, and that I be provided with written information about the outcome of the investigation. Even if no charges or subscriptions have been applied, I expect Snapchat to conduct all necessary checks to ensure the security of my personal data and phone number.
