Ladies Lites Sandals from Skechers Turkey Have Nothing to Do with the Brand's Usual Quality

I am visiting Istanbul from the UK for a week a decided to but a pair of Skechers ladies lites sandals from their store on Istikil Street in Beyoglu. I wore them for 6hrs and fell twice resulting in a cut to my knee and grazes on my hands. The sandals started to come apart from the straps. I decided to return them on the same day as the store was round the corner from my hotel only to find poor customer service and to be told that the sandals ripped because I fell. Not the fact that the sandals started coming apart before I even fell. It appears that Turkey Skechers are using poor quality material or making replicates and selling in the store as I have many pairs of Skechers purchased from the UK that are highly durable. Also if I was in the UK I would have been able to return them with no issue whatsoever. Highly disappointed! I am now waiting to hear back from the store to see if they will exchange as it takes 48hrs for the store to receive a response from their headquarters to decide on whether they will approve the exchange or not. Absolutely disgusting I shall be taking this matter further if the matter is not resolved.
