Brand-New Siemens Hood Not Performing Its Basic Function

Brand-New Siemens Hood Not Performing Its Basic Function
April 1 10:17 PM88

I purchased a Siemens LC66KPJ70T hood from the Siemens dealer in Bursa Nilüfer approximately one month ago, and from the very first use I noticed that the product does not perform its basic function. The hood pulls the oil from below but throws it back into the kitchen from the top instead of trapping it in the filter. Because of this, there has been serious oil accumulation on the cabinets in a very short time, which clearly shows that the product does not deliver the promised performance. We were only able to use the product a few times. When I informed the dealer manager about the situation, I was told to create a fault record through the main center. The authorized service, on its first visit, only checked the motor. With a napkin test they confirmed that the motor was running, but they did not take into account the fact that the oil was not being held in the filter and being thrown back into the kitchen, which is our main problem. Since the problem was not resolved, we created records 3–4 more times. However, the service did not come again; they called by phone and stated that it was “normal” for the hood not to pull oil properly, and they cancelled the records. The dealer manager also told us that a service team was directed and would come the next day, but no one showed up. I am of the opinion that the authorized service deliberately did not come, because when they saw the oil accumulation in the cabinets they would have had to issue a Defective Product Report. As a customer who has purchased a brand-new Siemens hood and cannot use it properly from day one, I request that this defective product issue be resolved urgently. I clearly demand either a full refund or a replacement of the hood with a properly functioning product that will not cause oil accumulation in the kitchen.

They called me because I wrote here and on social media and directed me to the service team. This time, they came and saw for themselves again that the filters were clean and the upper part of the cabinet was still covered in oil. They took photos and sent them to the service center. Today, the main center called and said the device is working and everything is normal, trying to delay the process. I explained again that the filter is not doing its job, but they didn’t seem to care—that appears to be their approach. I called, provided the necessary information, and they closed the case. The brand said there is nothing they can do. In other words, they can praise everything until they make the sale, but if a problem arises afterward, they take no responsibility. This is unacceptable.

Yes, the service again claimed the exhaust hood's motor was working, took photos and videos and sent them to the main center. The main center said the motor was working and closed the case again. So we didn't get an exhaust hood, we got a motor. Will we ever use Siemens again? Never.
