Sephora Sold Me a Defective Tarte Lipstick Usable for Only Half the Product

A lipstick I purchased from Sephora has a mechanical issue that limits its usage to only half of the product. I realized this wasn’t an isolated problem when I saw my friend’s lipstick had the same issue. This defect prevents me from fully using my purchase, and it feels as though it might be a tactic to encourage repeat purchases. If this weren’t intentional, I would expect some response to the multiple emails I’ve sent. I reached out to both Sephora and Tarte, but neither has bothered to reply, which only strengthens my suspicion that this flaw is deliberate. I paid ₺1,000 for this product and expect to be able to use it fully. I hope they take steps to compensate for my loss.

I had previously filed a complaint on this platform because the packaging of my Tarte brand lip product, which I purchased from Sephora some time ago, was defective. After I was contacted and the product information was taken, I was told that a refund would be issued, and I was asked to return the product using the provided return code. A few days after sending the product back, when I called customer service, I was told that the refund was accepted on November 6th and that my money would be deposited. Despite waiting since that day, the money has not been deposited. I have spoken with customer service numerous times and have not been able to get any results. I'm curious what kind of business practice it is to take the product from me and not deposit the money. Why do you make it so difficult for a refund? I don't even plan to go near Sephora again!

The product was delivered to Sephora on November 6th, and it was confirmed by customer service that a refund would be issued. Today is November 25th, and my refund still hasn't been processed. Despite calling customer representatives multiple times, I'm only told to wait. What does it mean to take the product and not refund the money? Why are you making this so difficult for us?
