I purchased a Dolce & Gabbana The One perfume from Sephora, but from the very first use I realized there was a serious issue. The scent disappeared within seconds and became completely undetectable. At first, I thought maybe I couldn’t smell it on myself, but I asked others to test it as well, and they confirmed the same—there was no lasting fragrance at all.
I immediately requested a return, but Sephora made the process unnecessarily difficult. The first representative asked me to send a photo of the product and said an investigation would begin. I sent it, but three days passed with no update. The second representative then said the review hadn’t even started because they also needed a photo of the box. I sent that as well, and was told I would be notified if the product was eligible for return.
After waiting a week with no response, I called again and was told simply that the product would be examined and I should “be patient.” I shipped it back, but Sephora returned it to me stating there was “no issue” with the perfume. This is completely unacceptable—the product has no noticeable scent, even when sprayed directly, and yet I was forced to pay ₺7,000 for a fragrance that doesn’t work as intended.
I expect Sephora to take responsibility, acknowledge the defective product, and issue a full refund.
