Samsung Refused to Repair My Air Conditioner
My Samsung-brand air conditioner broke down. Although I requested service, I haven’t received a response for about a week. In short, I contacted customer service and reported the issue. Today, I was informed that since my air conditioner is over 10 years old, no spare parts are available in stock and therefore the service team will not come. Now, I have two questions: Without inspecting the unit and diagnosing the problem, how can you determine which part is needed and that this part is not available in stock? I’ve used this air conditioner for only a few hours a day during just 2–3 months each year over the past 12 years. Are you telling me that after 10 years, the lack of spare parts means I have to throw it away? You are forcing people to buy a new air conditioner just because a spare part—possibly costing only 2–3 thousand liras—is unavailable, despite the current economic conditions. This is unfair.
I already wrote this complaint after speaking with your resolution center.
Dear customer, We were unable to reach you because you did not share your contact information. Kind regards, Samsung Electronics Turkey
I solved the malfunction of the device, which you did not come to check and for which you made all kinds of excuses, myself without changing any parts, just by researching on the internet. I did not ask for free service from you. Despite this, you didn't even bother to come and check. I do not recommend Samsung home appliances to anyone.
