Samsung Note 20 Ultra Swollen Battery After Service Back Cover Repair
On October 11, 2025, I took my Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra to Başarı Technical Service in Karşıyaka, Izmir. Although there was a crack in the back cover of my device, I was charged a replacement fee with the explanation that “a cracked cover will break.” I paid ₺2,900 for the cover replacement, bringing the total repair cost to ₺3,510. I paid for all repairs not covered by the device’s warranty. However, before the device was returned, I received a call informing me that the battery was swollen and the cover could not be closed, so the battery had been sent back to the original service provider. This issue should have been identified during the initial troubleshooting process. I am concerned that the battery may have been damaged during servicing. I request a detailed re-examination of the device, clarification regarding responsibility for the battery replacement, and proper repair of the malfunction. I also ask that greater care be taken in the process and necessary precautions implemented to prevent similar issues in the future.
