Samsung Installers Charge $50 in Hidden Wall Mount Fees for New OLED TV
I purchased a 55-inch Samsung OLED S90F TV from Mediamarkt.com.tr, and the product was installed by a Samsung authorized service center on August 21, 2026. During the installation, I requested that the TV be mounted on the wall, and as a result, I was charged a $42 fee for a wall mount bracket and an $8 fee for a satellite cable.
When I purchased the TV, there was no mention on the product page or anywhere else that an additional fee would be charged for the wall mount bracket and satellite cable for a wall installation. Furthermore, being asked to pay $8 for a 30 cm satellite cable is completely unacceptable. Having already paid approximately $1,767 for the product, encountering such hidden, surprise costs is absolutely unbecoming of a brand like Samsung.
My order number is 323107146. The digital document issued after the installation only states "stand installation," and it fails to transparently and clearly list the extra fees charged for the wall mount bracket and cable. I also have a bank receipt proving that I paid a total of $50 for these services.
Therefore, I demand a refund of the $42 wall mount bracket fee and the $8 satellite cable fee that were collected from me. I expect both Samsung and MediaMarkt to investigate this situation, refund these unjustified extra charges to me as soon as possible, and make their processes more transparent and informative to prevent similar frustrations for future customers.
