Samsung 50au8000 TV Stopped Working and Service Asked for High Repair Fee

December 17, 2024 8:45 PM27

My Samsung 50au8000 model television was not plugged in for 2 months. When I finally plugged it in, the screen didn’t turn on, although the TV made a startup sound before shutting off. After several attempts, the issue persisted, leaving the TV completely unusable. The authorized service demanded ₺15,000 for repairs on a TV that originally cost ₺20,000, so I declined the service. They admitted that this model has a known chronic defect, yet offered no alternative solution. I will definitely not buy a Samsung TV again. There was no refund, no exchange, and not even an apology. This entire experience has left me feeling very let down and disappointed by Samsung's lack of accountability.
