Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 Hinge Makes Cracking Noise When Opening
About three months after purchasing my Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6, I took it to Bayrak Elektronik, the Samsung authorized service center in Samsun, because the screen was freezing. I was told that both the front and back displays, as well as the battery, had been replaced under warranty, and the device was returned to me in that condition.
A short time later, the phone began making a crackling noise from the fold point while opening and closing, and the screen started to stutter when unfolding. I brought it back to the same authorized service center, and this time they told me the hinge and screen had been replaced before returning the phone to me again. However, about a month and a half after that, the cracking sound from the screen came back — slightly less noticeable than before, but still present.
On June 4th, I brought the phone to Bayrak Elektronik for the third time. The service representative who took it in confirmed she could hear the noise herself, and I made a point of stating clearly that I was now requesting a replacement, not another repair, before handing the phone over. I received no updates whatsoever until June 15th — and only learned the phone was ready because I called them myself. When I went to pick it up, I was told no issue had been found, no work had been done, and that the sound was "normal."
Despite giving them two different phone numbers, I was never contacted by call or text. They still insisted they had definitely reached out. Meanwhile, my phone still makes a noise from the fold when I open the screen — a sound that was absolutely not there when I first bought the device. On top of all this, my request for a replacement was denied, even though I had visited the same authorized service center three times for the same screen-related issue.
I refuse to accept the characterization of this recurring screen and hinge defect as "normal," or the fact that I was never properly notified. I'm requesting that this situation be resolved and that my device be replaced with a defect-free equivalent.
