I was excited to ditch the rake and upgrade to the Ryobi leaf blower, unfortunately, right out of the box, the unit wouldn't turn on. It was due to a dead battery – a brand-new blower with a useless battery? What am I going to do with this? Put it on my mantle?? Disappointed, contacted customer service, and finally spoke to a representative who seemed disinterested and offered little help. to add to the misery, the included vacuum attachment arrived cracked and unusable. While the blower eventually worked after replacing the battery (on my own dime, of course), the power was underwhelming. Even on the highest setting, it barely budged stubborn leaves. The marketing promised a "powerful blast," but reality delivered a gentle breeze. Def not what I needed.
