Rivian Keyless Entry and Weak Horn Made My Driving Experience Frustrating
Rivian's keyless entry mechanism has caused me great annoyance. Though they should run perfectly, the key fob, phone app, and key card may fail when most required. Sometimes approaching the car from different angles releases the doors, but only after multiple embarrassing attempts involving repositioning and retrying. This inconsistency makes the feature more trouble than a convenience. Furthermore, the locking mechanism when leaving the car is erratic. Though windows usually remain rolled down, necessitating me to physically verify everything, occasionally there is a slight chirp signalling the doors are closed. Regarding the horn, it's shockingly feeble and sounds more like a toy than something appropriate for a high-end electric car. Rivian has to solve these problems if it wants to keep up its innovative reputation.
