Resumaker.ai Charged Me for a Subscription I Never Intended to Buy
I used the resumaker.ai website to create my CV and made a one-time payment in USD for that purpose only. I did not knowingly subscribe to any monthly plan. On 21 May, an amount of LKR 5,990 was debited from my mother’s bank card, but at that time I did not understand that it was related to resumaker.ai. On 22 May, I updated my CV on the same website as usual. Later, after contacting my bank, I was informed that the charge of LKR 5,990 was from “resumaker.ai Barcelona.” I used the service with the email address duleekavind***@gmail.com. I have since seen that an email was sent to me about a “premium plan” but I believed that my payment was only for creating the CV, not for a recurring subscription. I was not clearly aware that I would be charged a monthly fee, and I only recently realized that I had been enrolled in a subscription. As soon as I understood this, I cancelled the subscription on the website. I have already contacted resumaker.ai customer support by email and received an automatic reply stating that my request is being processed and that they will respond as soon as possible. However, I would like to clearly state that I did not intend to purchase a monthly plan and was not expecting this recurring charge. As a user from Sri Lanka, I kindly request a full refund of the LKR 5,990 that was debited and confirmation that my subscription has been completely cancelled so that no further amounts will be charged in the future.
