My Promova Subscription Included Hidden Charges
On August 5, 2026, I purchased a 1-month English learning program from the Promova language learning platform for 479 TRY. Immediately following the transaction, I checked my credit card activity and discovered an additional, unauthorized charge of 689 TRY drawn from my account without my knowledge or consent.
As soon as I noticed this, and without utilizing the service at all, I requested both the cancellation of my subscription and a full refund of all payments on the exact same day. Despite sending numerous messages via both the application and email, I have received no response to date, and my cancellation and refund requests continue to be ignored. Furthermore, an automated email sent to me indicated that 1,199.95 TRY will be billed to my card every month moving forward—an amount and recurring subscription to which I never consented.
In accordance with International Consumer Rights and right-of-withdrawal regulations, I demand an immediate and full refund to my bank account of both the unauthorized 689 TRY charge and the 479 TRY paid for the canceled subscription. Otherwise, I notify you that I will finalize the formal chargeback dispute process through my issuing bank. I expect my grievance to be resolved promptly and all recurring subscriptions that could lead to unauthorized charges to be fully canceled.
