Preply Stole My ₺4000 Lesson Balance When My Tutor Paused Classes – Only 2 Lessons Left
I’ve been taking lessons on Preply for a long time and was generally satisfied—until now. Recently, my tutor took a break from offering classes, which meant I couldn’t schedule any new sessions. I had around ₺4000 worth of prepaid lessons left in my balance—approximately 8 lessons in total.
To my shock and frustration, when I checked back on my account, Preply had removed 6 of those lessons without any warning or explanation. Only 2 lessons remain. Where did the rest of my money go? I never received any email notification, no alert, no justification—nothing. It feels like they just took my money and vanished.
Even worse, there is no way to contact Preply support directly. No phone number, no support email—just a wall of silence. This is completely unacceptable for a company handling people's money and educational investments.
