After you pay the customs duties for a PostNL shipment, the payment must first be confirmed in the carrier’s system. This verification can take some time, and the parcel may remain on hold until the payment is processed and the customs authority releases the package.

Once the payment is registered, PostNL usually forwards the parcel back into the delivery network. The tracking status should change to show that the shipment has been released from customs and is being prepared for transport to your local delivery depot.

If the tracking does not update within a few days after payment, contact PostNL customer support and provide proof of the customs payment.
