Faulty Electric Motor on 2022 Porsche Panamera Hybrid – High Repair Costs and No Support
My 2022 Porsche Panamera Hybrid, with only 58,000 km, developed a major fault in its electric motor, resulting in an estimated repair cost of ₺1,000,000. I contacted Doğuş Oto for a free replacement, as this issue is common in many Hybrid vehicles, but my request was denied. During my visit to the service center, I was informed that another vehicle had the same issue and that my car would be evaluated only after resolving theirs.
When I brought in my car, they offered a ₺150,000 discounted repair, which I refused, as the issue clearly stems from a design flaw in the part. Despite agreeing to pay for the repair, I requested an extended warranty since the replacement part is only covered for two years and seems prone to failure. My warranty extension request was also denied.
I’ve been unable to use my car for over a month, and this experience has been deeply frustrating. I urge Porsche to take responsibility for defective parts in their electric and Hybrid vehicles and to improve their after-sales support. Potential buyers should consider the risks of owning these vehicles.
