Pierre Cardin Suit Pilled After One Wear and Was Called Normal
The cream-colored two-piece casual suit I bought from Pierre Cardin started pilling heavily around the neck and inner thighs after just one wear. As soon as I noticed the pilling, I took it off the same day and put it away—I didn’t even wash it. As someone who buys all their clothing from this brand, I took the item back to the store where I purchased it. They said they would send it for inspection. The products were sent and returned with the explanation that the condition was “normal.” Apparently, textile engineers had reviewed them. If something that looks like this after one wear is considered normal, then why am I paying ₺10,000 for Pierre Cardin? As a long-time customer who’s even built friendships with staff at my regular store and is considered a “special client,” why wouldn’t I just buy the same thing for a cheaper price in Merter? Is this the treatment I get in return? I didn’t even take the product back—I told them to keep it at the store and that I’d take the matter to the Consumer Court if necessary. I won’t accept this. Nobody picks up money off the street. When I call customer service, I end up speaking to people who have no idea about the situation. I get follow-up calls only to be told, once again, that “this is normal.” When I ask who made this decision, I get ridiculous responses. I’m writing this complaint because I haven’t received the level of competence I expect from customer service. I know I’ll win if I take this to the Consumer Arbitration Board, but I’m writing this so you don’t lose a customer. If I have to resolve this through legal channels, I won’t even walk past your store again. I can’t upload pictures of the items because they’re still being held at the store.
