I Can’t Sign In to My Google Account on Philips 40PFK6510/12 Android TV
I’ve been trying to sign in to my Google account on my Philips 40PFK6510/12 Android TV, but no matter what I do, it won’t let me log in. I enter the correct username and password, but every time I hit sign in, I get the same message: “Sign-in failed. Please try again.” I’ve triple-checked my credentials, and I can sign in perfectly fine on other devices, so the issue is definitely not with my Google account.
Because of this login error, I can’t use any apps, can’t access YouTube, and can’t download anything from the Google Play Store. It basically renders the "smart" features of the TV completely useless. I’ve tried restarting the TV, resetting network settings, and even a factory reset—nothing has worked.
This has turned into a very frustrating experience. I bought an Android TV specifically so I could enjoy app support, yet I’m locked out due to what appears to be a persistent system bug. I’ve seen others complain about this exact issue online, so I know it’s not just me.
