Peugeot 3008 Service Overcharged – Unauthorized Maintenance Bill Reaches $590

On March 4, 2026, I sent my Peugeot 3008 to the authorized ABC Grup Otomobilcilik Filo Kiralama ve Turizm Ticaret A.Ş. service center in Yenimahalle, Ankara, through a relative for its periodic maintenance. Even though the vehicle had not yet reached the required mileage for maintenance, it was due for service based on the elapsed time. After the service, I was presented with an invoice totaling $590.

Since I was abroad, a relative took the car in for service, and I was shocked when I saw the invoice. The bill was outrageously inflated. Because we were out of the country, the car had only been used very rarely, and when it went in for service, the mileage was only 26,414 km. A large number of unnecessary procedures were added for a vehicle at this mileage, and it feels as though they took advantage of the situation to issue an excessive bill.

When I reviewed the invoice, I saw many extra charges, including LTR9799A1 engine carbon cleaning, LTR9799T1 Teroson air conditioning cleaning VR 300 BO 200 ml, S00060 fuel system cleaning, S00085 engine oil system cleaning, 36005L wheel alignment (front-end geometry), NG001 nitrogen gas, and 95N48A systematic maintenance procedures. In addition, separate charges were also billed for the cabin filter and air filter, yet there was no clear explanation of what was actually included in the “systematic maintenance” procedure listed under code 95N48A. The total of these questionable items comes to approximately $338, and I do not believe that some of these procedures were mandatory or necessary.

Compared with the price of the previous maintenance service, it is impossible to justify such a huge increase. It also seems highly unnecessary for a vehicle with this mileage to receive this level of service. I had no complaints at all regarding the front suspension, wheel alignment, or the general condition of the car.

Before the service, I was not given any detailed list of these procedures, any estimated pricing information, or any document for my approval. I only became aware of all these items and the total amount when I saw the invoice. This situation has seriously damaged my trust in the authorized service network. Because I trusted the service, I told my relative without hesitation that the car could be taken there, but after this experience, I would not even pass by ABC Grup again.

Regarding this process, I request a detailed review of the charges applied, especially for the procedures and materials I believe were unnecessary, and I ask that a refund or discount be provided for any unjustified items. I also want all customers to be clearly informed in advance about every procedure to be carried out and the estimated costs, and for their approval to be obtained before any work is performed, so that similar situations do not happen again.
