Peugeot Denies My Rightful Use of 2023 3008 Maintenance Package
I purchased my 2023 Peugeot 3008 brand-new at zero kilometers. When I took it for its first service, I was informed that I could buy a maintenance package, and in June 2024, I purchased the 2-year/50,000 km package for ₺29,000 through ABC Peugeot Şaşmaz Authorized Service. I had two services done under this package. However, when I went for the third service in September, I was told that the package had expired and this service would not be covered. The justification given was that the 2-year period began from the vehicle’s registration date, not from the date I purchased the package. I was never informed of this at the time of purchase or afterward, and had I known, I would never have bought the package. Starting the package before its purchase date is unfair and clearly against the consumer’s interest. Because of misleading and incomplete information at the time of sale, I was unable to use my entitlement to 3 additional services and 50,000 km under the package. Moreover, when I explained my grievance to the service staff, I was dismissed with the response, “this is how the system works.” My expectation is a refund of ₺25,238.88, which was unjustly charged to me for a service that should have been covered by the package. If necessary, I am prepared to escalate this issue to the Consumer Arbitration Committee.
