How does a Pegasus Almati-Istanbul flight that should take 6:30 hours end up taking 18 hours? Let me explain.
The PC121 flight from Almati to Esenboga was scheduled to depart at 06:50 but took off at 08:50, causing a 2-hour delay. Consequently, we missed our connecting flight to Istanbul, PC2665, which was supposed to depart at 12:10. Despite Almati being 2 hours ahead of Turkey, we couldn't make it. Our tickets were changed to the 20:30 PC2671 flight instead of the 12:10 PC2665 flight. However, the 20:30 flight was also delayed and departed at 21:20.
1. My ticket, which I paid extra for due to the shorter flight duration, became useless.
2. Despite choosing this flight for its shorter duration and planning my vacation to return on Wednesday, I ended up spending approximately 10 hours in Ankara.
The planned arrival in Istanbul was 13:15, but now it shows 22:25. I don't know how much more we can be inconvenienced.
I want to state upfront that being accommodated in a hotel from 13:30 to 18:00 has no compensation for us. Our entire day was wasted.
I also announce here that I will exercise all my legal rights.
