Pegasus Airlines Denied Refund for Flex Ticket
I purchased a Flex ticket from Pegasus Airlines for the İzmir-Adana-İzmir route with PNR number A9Y3. Later, I paid an additional fee to keep the ticket open. Despite multiple phone requests for a refund, I was repeatedly told, "It's expired, there's nothing we can do." My written complaint, filed years ago under the reference number 10285521, was finally reviewed on March 30, 2024. I was informed via email that I could track the progress through the "Contact Us" section (https://www.flypgs.com/bize-yazin) or the call center at 0888 222 1212. Notably, calls to the call center were supposed to be free for members, which makes the imposition of charges unacceptable.
On March 31, 2024, my request was processed, and I received an email stating that the only refundable amount for my ticket was the ₺22.60 tax fee, which could be credited to my Pegasus BolBol account as BolPoints. This response, after years of disregarding my issues, was extremely disappointing.
Then, on April 15, 2024, Pegasus sent another email stating, "Your application with reference number 10285521 made on 30.03.2024 will be closed due to no response from you. If you wish, you can keep your application active by replying to this email." Expecting me to engage over ₺22.60 and not offering a refund for the Flex fee and the fee to keep the ticket open is unacceptable.
As a BolBol member who has purchased hundreds of tickets, I demand a full refund of the ticket cost, including the Flex fee and the open ticket fee, calculated based on the dollar exchange rate on the purchase date. The full amount should be refunded to the credit card I originally used for payment within seven business days. I reserve all my legal and statutory rights in this matter.
