Paysend Account Closed Without Notice And Remaining Balance Refund Issues
I have been using Paysend’s services from Greece for more than 5 years and was generally a loyal user, yet my account was recently closed in a way I find completely illegitimate and improper. After closing my account without any prior notice or reasonable time given to withdraw my remaining balance in euros, Paysend repeatedly demanded that I share my confidential IBAN information in what I consider an insecure and uncomfortable way in order to send back my own funds. I find it unacceptable that a financial services company closes customers’ accounts without giving them a clear timeframe to withdraw their remaining balance and then insists on handling the refund through methods that feel unsafe, spam-like and unreliable. When I asked Paysend why they closed my account in this manner and why there was no proper notice period, they did not provide a clear answer and only repeated that “this is our internal process,” effectively trying to impose their own procedure on customers without any transparency. In my view, Paysend hides behind “regulations” and “compliance” while actually putting customers’ funds and assets at risk. Their service approach is restrictive, inefficient and highly unsatisfactory. Over the last few years, I have tried several times to give feedback directly to Paysend, but they have not taken it seriously or reflected it in any meaningful service improvement. As a result of this experience, I request that my Paysend account be reopened and that all my losses and damages arising from this illegitimate and mishandled account closure be compensated. I also expect a clear and detailed explanation of the reasons for closing my long-standing account, as well as a transparent and secure process for any future handling of my funds.
My Paysend account was closed abruptly without prior notice, and I was asked to share an insecure IBAN to retrieve my remaining euro balance. When I requested an explanation, I only received a response citing internal procedures, lacking transparency and communication. This situation reflects a decline in service quality and puts my funds at risk despite my long-term usage.
