I made an early reservation on July 17, 2024, through the Otelz app to take advantage of a promotion for a hotel that was listed as available at the time. However, nearly a month later, on August 15, 2024, I received an email stating that my reservation was canceled due to "Other" reasons, citing no availability at the hotel.
Why did it take almost a month for this issue to be communicated to me? From July 17, 2024, to August 15, 2024, there was no indication of any problem with availability. As a result, I missed out on the early booking promotion, and now I’m facing significantly higher prices at similar hotels. If the hotel wasn’t available on those dates, why was I able to make a reservation in the first place?
Additionally, I received an email claiming that you tried to call me on August 15, 2024, but couldn’t reach me. My phone was on, and I received and made multiple calls throughout the day, so this doesn’t add up. This has caused significant inconvenience, as my vacation plans are now only 10 days away, and I’m left scrambling.
I’m requesting that Otelz address this issue promptly and professionally to compensate for the inconvenience caused by this mishandled reservation. Your approach to handling reservations needs to be more reliable, and I expect a resolution for the difficulties I’ve experienced.
