Opodo Self Transfer Flight Not Disclosed - Refund Request
I booked a flight through Opodo from Cairo to Stuttgart with Pegasus and Ajet for 2 April, and at no point during the booking process was it mentioned that this was a self-transfer connection. Only after completing the booking, when the airlines sent me two different booking numbers, did I realize that the journey had been arranged as a self-transfer. I contacted Opodo customer service to clarify this and was told that they allegedly cannot know before the booking whether flights are self-transfer and that this is decided only by the airlines. I find this explanation unacceptable and misleading, because as a customer I rely on Opodo to clearly show such essential information during the booking process, before I pay. Discovering this only after purchase makes me feel deceived and leaves me with a connection that carries additional risk and responsibility that I did not knowingly accept. I am based in Germany and I request a full refund of this booking, as the self-transfer character of the trip was not transparently indicated before purchase. In addition, I expect Opodo to update and improve the way this information is displayed so that future customers are clearly informed about self-transfer flights before they complete payment, and do not experience the same problem.
