I Struggled to Open Novartis Zaditen Syrup—Cap Design Caused Pain and Injury

I Struggled to Open Novartis Zaditen Syrup—Cap Design Caused Pain and Injury

I recently had to use Novartis Zaditen syrup for my sick child, and I’m shocked at how poorly the bottle cap is designed. I’ve opened all kinds of medications—antibiotics, syrups, pills—but nothing has ever been this difficult. The cap requires a forceful push-and-turn motion that simply doesn’t work as intended.

Despite trying repeatedly and carefully following the instructions, I couldn’t get it open without hurting myself. My hand actually swelled and blistered from trying so hard. If I could share a photo, you'd see what I mean. I'm a healthy adult and still struggled with it—imagine the frustration for a parent trying to help a sick child in the middle of the night.

This isn’t a minor issue. It’s a major design flaw that turns an already stressful situation into a painful one.

Novartis, please take this seriously. Reevaluate the cap design for Zaditen syrup. It should be child-safe—but not adult-proof. Make this right for the sake of every parent out there.
