Our newborn baby was prescribed BioGaia drops by our doctor, despite the packaging stating it is meant for children aged two and older. We were assured it was safe for newborns, so we followed the recommendation. However, after three days of use, our baby, who would usually cry briefly and then sleep, began screaming uncontrollably all night.
Instead of helping, this product caused extreme distress, leaving us helpless as our baby cried in pain for hours. How can something clearly labeled for ages two and up still be routinely prescribed for newborns? What kind of oversight allows this to happen?
I strongly urge the manufacturer and healthcare professionals to review this recommendation. Parents deserve accurate, evidence-based guidance for their newborns. This product should come with a clear warning, as it is not suitable for infants and can cause unnecessary suffering.
