Nike Raincoat Fails to Keep Water Out

I purchased a raincoat with the supposed "Shield" feature, which claimed to be waterproof and water-repellent. However, the raincoat ended up letting water seep through the shoulder seams. How is it that a product with these features allows water inside? Are we paying extra for this brand in vain? I'm utterly shocked and disappointed by the loss of trust in this well-known brand. Just look at the sorry state it's fallen into. I'll never choose Nike again, as this experience has left me deeply disillusioned.
