My Nike Tiempo Cleats Tore in 2 Months Despite Warranty
I purchased a pair of Nike Tiempo football cleats from an official Nike store with the understanding that the product came with a 2-year warranty, and I was assured that in case of any issues, I’d be eligible for an exchange or refund.
However, just one month into using the cleats, the inner lining tore. I submitted them for inspection, only to be told the damage was due to “user error.” I disagreed, but since I had no other cleats, I had no choice but to continue using them. Then, after another month—still within the warranty period—multiple studs broke off during normal use, strictly on the field. I never used them outside of training or matches.
I submitted the cleats again for review, expecting a fair response. But once again, I received the same generic reply: rejected without a proper explanation.
This product has a 2-year warranty, yet it became unusable within 2 months. I followed all usage guidelines and treated the cleats with care. What’s the point of a warranty if Nike refuses to honor it?
What’s worse, during the waiting period of this ongoing inspection process, I had no backup cleats and was forced to cancel training sessions, causing serious setbacks in my routine. This entire process has resulted in nothing but frustration and lost time.
