My Nike Air Force Sneakers Fell Apart in Seven Months
In December, I decided to treat myself to a pair of Nike Air Force sneakers. I was willing to pay ₺4,100 because I expected nothing but top-notch quality. Unfortunately, after only 7 months, the shoes started to deteriorate. It began with the back heel opening up, and then the edges started to give way as well.
I returned the shoes to Meydan AVM Barçın Spor, the store where I bought them, and left them there for inspection. I voiced my concerns, hoping that a well-established brand like Nike would support their products. Today, I got a response saying that my claim was denied because there was "no production or material defect" in the product, but they didn't give me any more details.
Why am I being blamed for the shoe's adhesive failing after only 7 months of regular use? Well, it's important to keep in mind that these are street shoes. They're bound to get wet and encounter various conditions. I find it extremely disappointing that Nike, a renowned global brand, fails to acknowledge their product's lack of durability.
Adding insult to injury, the current selling price of the same shoe has skyrocketed to ₺7,000. I'm annoyed that I ended up with faulty shoes and now the price to replace them has almost doubled. I am determined to persist and fight for my rights until this issue is properly resolved.
