I purchased a black Nike Tech hoodie from the Akasya Nike store, and within just two weeks, the color began to fade and turn reddish — despite washing it in cold water and following all care instructions exactly as stated on the label. For a product that costs this much, this level of quality is incredibly disappointing.
When I reported the issue, I was quickly told it was “user error”, which is a common and frustrating response. I know how to care for clothing, and this was not due to misuse. The fading happened far too soon and is clearly a material or dye defect.
Nike markets the Tech line as premium, but the product I received did not live up to those expectations. Spending this much only to have it lose its color in two weeks is unacceptable.
I urge Nike to take accountability and offer a replacement or full refund. Simply brushing it off as user error without a proper inspection shows a lack of responsibility and respect for loyal customers. I will not purchase another Tech product unless this issue is resolved.
