Nestle SMA Comfort Recall - Cereulide Risk
On 04.01.2026, I purchased a Nestlé Sma Comfort baby formula from the Konya Meram E-Bebek branch for ₺660. The product I bought has the batch code L-51560346AA. After my purchase, I saw posts on social media stating that some products with certain barcodes were being recalled due to the cereulide bacteria, and I also noticed an informational text about this issue on Nestlé’s own website. Since I have already used this product for my baby, even the slightest possibility of a risk has made me very worried. For this reason, I wanted to return the product. When I went to the E-Bebek store, they told me that they could not accept the return because they had not received any response or official guidance from Nestlé about this matter. Afterwards, I tried to reach Nestlé via their 444 76 62 customer service line several times on 07.01.2026, but I could not get through at all and could not obtain any explanation. So far, I have not observed any health problems in my baby related to this product, but since it is baby food and we have already used it, I expect a clear and satisfactory explanation even for the smallest risk. I request that Nestlé make a clear and official statement regarding Sma Comfort products, explicitly indicate whether the product I purchased and used for my baby with the batch code L-51560346AA carries any risk, ensure that my product is refunded, and provide a clear commitment that any possible contamination or health problem that may arise will be fully assumed as their responsibility.
