Sichuan Airlines Could Not Find My Mytrip Booking

On April 10, 2026, I purchased a ticket through Mytrip for a Sichuan Airlines flight on the Athens–Istanbul route.
Later, because I realized I would not be able to travel, I requested cancellation of my ticket while fully accepting all cancellation penalties and deductions that applied to the fare rules.
However, Mytrip customer service and online support rejected my request, stating that the airline did not allow any cancellations or modifications whatsoever.
After this response, I contacted Sichuan Airlines directly and checked the booking using the ticket number provided to me by Mytrip. When I did so, I received a warning stating that no such ticket could be found in the airline’s system.
In other words, the ticket I purchased through Mytrip does not appear to exist in the airline database, and because of this situation, I am unable to complete a proper cancellation process either through the airline itself or through Mytrip.
I request that my ticket for the May 10, 2026 flight be canceled in accordance with the rules and deductions that I already accepted at the time of purchase and that any refundable amount remaining after cancellation be returned to me in full.
I also request an urgent investigation into why my ticket does not appear in the airline’s system and why Mytrip continues insisting that “the airline does not allow cancellation” despite the booking apparently not being properly registered.
I expect this customer grievance to be resolved quickly and transparently.
