Mondly Charged Me $17 Despite Offering a 7-Day Free Trial

I signed up for the Google Mondly Learn app because it offered a 7-day free trial. Although the app clearly stated that I could use it for free for 7 days, my subscription was apparently converted to a paid subscription immediately, and I was charged without my consent or any clear notification.

On April 1, I noticed a charge of approximately $17 taken from my bank account. I did not receive any additional warning, notification, or reminder about the end of the trial period. I expected to use the 7-day free trial, but instead I was charged directly without being clearly informed.

I do not accept being charged without my knowledge when I signed up specifically to use the 7-day free trial. I am requesting a full refund of the approximately $17 charged to my bank account.
