I have been using my MG ZS EV for one year, and I have two major complaints regarding the vehicle's quality and service experience.
1️⃣ Steering Wheel Wear: I have been driving for 20 years, and this is the first time I have ever seen a steering wheel peel off in just one year. This is completely unacceptable for a brand-new vehicle and raises serious concerns about the overall quality of materials used in MG cars. I never expected such poor durability.
2️⃣ Service Issues & Overcharging: I recently took my car to service for maintenance. They changed the hydraulic fluid and charged me around ₺6000 for the service. However, when I mentioned a noise coming from the steering rack, their response was disappointing. Instead of thoroughly inspecting the issue, they simply said, "We lubricated it; let’s see if the noise stops in a day."
Additionally, they told me that they couldn’t fully diagnose the problem over the weekend. This level of service is highly unprofessional, especially for a brand that claims to prioritize customer satisfaction.
Furthermore, I noticed wear and tear on the plastic near the windshield wipers, which should not happen on a relatively new car.
I expect MG to take responsibility for these issues immediately. The steering wheel material and plastic components must be durable, and service centers should provide proper diagnostics instead of temporary fixes. I request an urgent investigation and resolution regarding both the steering wheel peeling and the unresolved noise in the steering system. If this is not addressed properly, I will consider escalating the matter legally.
