Mavi Jeans Refused to Refund My Shirt Even Though I Had the Receipt and Tag
On 09.03.2025, I bought a shirt from Mavi Jeans at Kırlangıç AVM, and on 30.03.2025, I went to your Ayvalık central store to return it. The staff there told me they could only issue a gift voucher from that location, but if I went to Kırlangıç AVM, I could get a refund. So, on 31.03.2025, I went back to Kırlangıç AVM with my receipt. The receipt clearly states, “Unless there is any alteration, you may return or exchange the item within 30 days with the receipt and tag.” I’m not new to returns, and I’m a Mavi member; despite that, I was asked for the slip, even though most of your stores can retrieve this information through the membership system and already keep a copy of the slip. More importantly, if a slip is required for a return, that information should be stated on the receipt. I was told they could only issue a gift voucher, and I had to accept it just to avoid getting stuck with the product. However, I am requesting a full refund. If I receive a negative response via email, I will take this matter to the Consumer Court. I later found my slip and returned to the store, but the staff member named B**** kicked us out of the store. My mother was with me, and when I told him we would file a complaint, he replied, “You can do as you wish.” I will absolutely take legal action against this person and your company. Beyond being customers, we expect people to be mindful of how they speak. My entire family and I are lawyers, and we will not remain silent in the face of this mistreatment and unprofessional behavior.
