Massimo Dutti Refused My Refund After Pants Caused a Skin Reaction
On April 19, 2026, I purchased a pair of Massimo Dutti pants (Product Code: 509399340742) from the Massimo Dutti store at Panora Shopping Mall in Ankara for approximately $83. The very first time I wore the pants, they caused noticeable redness and intense itching on my skin. Because of this reaction, I have been unable to wear the product. In addition, the fabric loses its shape while being worn, and the right pocket area becomes visibly distorted, making the pants look defective.
Because of these problems, I returned the pants to the store later that month for inspection under Product Inspection Form No. 003798. After the evaluation, I was informed verbally that my claim had been rejected and that I should pick up the product from the store. When I asked why the claim had been denied, no explanation was provided. I was simply told that the inspection form was marked "No." I was also not given the original inspection report; instead, I was told that I could only take a photograph of the document.
I cannot accept the rejection of my complaint without any meaningful explanation, especially when the pants caused significant itching and redness and also appear to have manufacturing-related fabric and pocket defects. I request that Massimo Dutti accept the return of the pants and issue a full refund of the $83 I paid. If a refund is not possible, I expect a reasonable alternative solution, such as a replacement with a defect-free product.
