Mango Won’t Let Me Exchange an Online Gift for a More Expensive Item in the Store

When I told them I wanted to exchange the product that my friends sent as a gift from the Mango Online store for a more expensive product at the Ankamall Mango store, I was informed that for online purchases, only size and color exchanges of the same product are allowed. Excuse me, but this is the most absurd thing I've ever encountered. I am under no obligation to like the color, size, or even the model of the gift I received. For returns, I was also told that the refund would be made to the card used for the purchase. Here's another absurdity. Am I expected to call the friend who bought me the gift and ask for their card details to issue the refund? I genuinely believe that this practice could harm online sales because, without such flexibility, no one would be encouraged to buy gifts online, especially in this era where online shopping is the norm. In short, I request assistance in being able to exchange the gift I received at stores. Once again, I emphasize that I intend to exchange it for a more expensive product, and I even know which item I will get, that's how much of a Mango customer I am. I request a prompt and positive response on this matter.
