Lufthansa Baggage Damage Liability


I flew with Lufthansa from New York to Istanbul via Germany, and upon arrival, I discovered that my new Samsonite suitcase had been severely damaged. I immediately filed a report with airport personnel, but after 10 days, I received no response from either Lufthansa or the ground handling company, Celebi. I am highly angry about the absence of assistance and compensation for the damaged bags. As a frequent traveler, I am aware that luggage can sometimes be damaged during flights. What is unacceptable, however, is the airline's and ground handling company's lack of response and compensation. I want prompt and fair compensation for my damaged bags, as well as a clear explanation of the steps being taken to prevent similar incidents in the future.
