LG Refused to Replace My Brand-New Faulty Washing Machine
I purchased an LG F4T2VYM1S ADSPLTK 9 kg 1400 RPM washing machine on November 12, 2024. The product was installed by an authorized LG service technician last week. However, during the installation process, the washing machine failed to operate entirely, despite being properly connected to a power source. In other words, the product was defective straight out of the box and could not be used even once.
Immediately after discovering the issue, I contacted LG customer service through the 444 6 543 support line and reported the problem. Given that the product had never functioned and was defective upon installation, I requested a replacement unit. However, my replacement request was rejected without any clear justification. I was not provided with a technical explanation, a written reason for the decision, or a satisfactory solution proposal. Furthermore, the overall process has lacked transparency, and I have not received adequate information regarding the status of my case.
As of today, I have been unable to use a brand-new product for approximately ten days and still do not have a clear answer regarding how the issue will be resolved. A washing machine that fails to operate during its very first installation is clearly defective and does not meet the reasonable expectations of a consumer purchasing a new appliance.
For this reason, I request the immediate replacement of my defective LG washing machine with a brand-new equivalent unit at no additional cost. I expect LG to honor its responsibilities regarding a product that was delivered in a faulty condition and to resolve this matter without further delay.
