On February 26, 2026, I purchased a Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 (R7 5825U / 16GB / 512GB / 14” / Windows) laptop from MediaMarkt, including a licensed Windows operating system.

From the very first day, the computer experienced serious issues, including overheating, freezing, and major performance problems. I took the device back to the MediaMarkt store and explained the situation. I was told it needed to be sent to technical service, and the laptop was sent for repair.

After approximately fifteen days, the device was returned from service, but this time I noticed that Windows was not activated, even though I had purchased it with a valid license.

We contacted Lenovo authorized service, and they provided a product key. However, when we entered the key, we received an error message stating that the key was invalid. We reported this again to Lenovo support, and they told us to reinstall the system. However, we were unable to format the computer.

When we contacted them again, we were told to take the device back to MediaMarkt for assistance. At the MediaMarkt store, we were informed that there was no technical staff available and that the device needed to be sent to service again.

We sent the laptop back to technical service a second time. After about ten days, it was returned again, but no repairs had been made. Windows was still not activated, and no service report was provided with the device.

We originally purchased this laptop for my daughter to use in her university translation classes. Due to these ongoing issues and the lack of any proper resolution, she has been unable to attend her classes properly. To avoid academic problems, we were ultimately forced to purchase a new computer.

I reported this entire situation both to Lenovo authorized service and MediaMarkt customer service via email and requested a refund. Lenovo responded that they were waiting for information from the repair center and would get back to me, but even after about ten days, no response has been provided.

My invoice number is L712026000003899. Despite trying to resolve this issue for approximately 35 days since the date of purchase, I have not received any concrete solution from either Lenovo or MediaMarkt.

Due to this defective product and the fact that I was forced to purchase a replacement device, I am requesting a full refund for the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5 laptop.
